![]() ![]() (So in the end 5x on the OSSC doesnt work (as it only supports it on 240p and similar resolutions. (ICO 60 Hz mode on the PAL version).Įdit: Oh, and others have reported on it as well, see f.e.: So I dont think its necessarily TV related.Įdit2: GSM cant fix it, as it doesnt have an 240p image mode. I remember trying this game with the exact same rig, back with 0.9 or something version of PCSX2, and it ran like absolute ass. Both ICO (PAL) and my PS1 games run at 60Hz though. Havent tried GSM to force a NTSC output, but may try that next. Since that moves the OSSC into 2x scaling mode (on my settings), as 525i is detected. Yeah I used the Vsynce on PCSX2 which removed screen tearing but it completely tanked my performance. But I DID force VSYNC on the 'GPU''s driver, since PCSX2 has no option for VSYNC. Turning on Vsync fixes that, but turning that on also makes the game run slowly for me. Even on my wife's Laptop (without a dedicated GPU) I'm not getting screen tearing. For some users with a Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) monitor, that could mean screen tearing. Aero is disabled except for font smoothing. I have enabled VSync in both PCSX2 and Nvidia Control Panel. The tearing is especially apparant in the mining area of the Final Mix exclusive dungeon (Cavern of Remembrance). Return focus to the gameplay window of PCSX2. I get horrible screen tearing with Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix with DirectX 9 or 11, but not with OpenGL. Has anyone found a way to fix it, or has an idea what OSSC setting might impact it?Īlso interesting tidbit, it doesnt happen on the idle video (Gametrailer in 525i) that plays on the start menu in ICO (the one thats actually a video, and not ingame (you see video compression)). A lil Googling found a post revealing that starting with PCSX2 v, it disables the windows DWM when in full screen mode. While playing Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix or Atelier Iris 3: Grand Phantasm, multi-task to another program or click the Taskbar to remove focus from PCSX2. Meaning, I like that setting, very much, for both PS1 and PS2 games, if it wasnt for the tearing. ![]() ![]() Has anyone found a way to fix it, or has an idea what OSSC setting might impact it? I see it on PAL 240p PS2 games like ICO (actually 263p) and on NTSC PSX games alike (using POPStarter), 3x and 4x (?) dont suffer from it, and if I turn 5x resolution to 1920x1200 instead of 1920x1080 its gone as well, but the game still displays with (accurate) Pal Borders around it, which are cropped on my TV if I use 5x at 1920x1080. ![]()
